Passiveworks
Passive building is essentially the gold standard for energy efficiency within new buildings regulations and the leads the international design standard for: Zero Carbon, Low Energy, Sustainable buildings. Originally the 'Passivhaus' tehnology comes from Germany. In simple terms the building is wrapped in a membrane to reduce air transfer from outside. Then by reusing residual heat generated from electrical and gas appliances such ovens, refrigerators, computers and light bulbs the building is heated without the need for central heating.
Being a first time self builder can be daunting but Paul and the team walked us through a complicated build with patience and understanding.

As timber framed specialists we pride ourselves in spaces which are useable year round with all of the thermal values and noise reduction properties of our full sized projects.
